Republicans gathered in Dallas this week for their midterm convention, where one video montage was supposed to showcase the terrifying face of left-wing extremism. 🫠

Their choice for political commentator? It was Hasan Piker and a nearly two-year-old Instagram photo of him standing in his underwear. The photo was blown up on a screen more than 25 feet tall inside the American Airlines Center. 😆😆

Piker later watched the convention footage on his livestream and cracked up at the fact that, of everything Republicans could have pulled from his years of political commentary, the Republicans dug through his Instagram and decided the bulge pic was the one America needed to see. 😈

WE REMEMBER: Twenty-five years ago, nearly 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 attacks. The loss reached across every part of American life, touching families, workplaces, communities, and people of every background.

Among those killed were LGBTQ+ people whose names and stories are often missing from the way that day is remembered.

Some were passengers. Some were working inside the towers. Some rushed toward danger to help others. Others survived and carried what happened with them for the rest of their lives.
